Wave conditions for the event were minimal at best but Corey still managed to get ten over, hang heals, work in some switch stance & drop-knee turns, and walk his board with old skool style. When it was all said and done he placed 2nd in Men’s Standup Division.

Ironically, after the contest ended the surf got pretty good at Sebastian Inlet. Corey and his wife Stacy stayed for another couple of days and scored some good surf. All-in-all it was a GREAT trip to Florida.

Sebastian Inlet
Team riders Corey Williams and Alek Rockrise competed in the TGSA’s Port Aransas Open held March 7-8 in chest-high surf.
Corey placed 1st in Men’s Open Longboard and Alek placed 2nd in Junior Longboard.
Corey and Alek’s next feat is the Ron Jon Easter Surf Festival next month in Cocoa Beach, Florida. Good luck to both surfers!
Alek is also planning on being in California this summer busy with surf camps and surf contests.
We will keep you posted on Corey and Alek’s surf adventures all spring and summer long.
